The Subtle Body is an opportunity to research and explore movement patterns from an anatomic approach.
By analyzing our physical structure, we gain a better understanding of movement itself. Becoming more conscious of body parts and their movements helps us expand the level of proprioceptive information that we are capable of receiving, leading to greater, and more efficient, possibilities in movement.
As we consciously deconstruct and reorganize movement patterns we liberate space and freedom within the body.
In The Subtle Body, specific attention is placed on the vertical axis, spirals as a strategy for changing levels, pelvic floor modulation, generating movement from our center of gravity, and dancing from the momentum of being out of balance.
